The day, in real time

06:00 — Pick-up Mbale, Jinja or Kampala (Kampala is a 6-hr each-way drive — consider an overnight in Sipi or Mbale; we’ll quote the upgrade). 09:00 — Arrive Sipi village. Coffee, ground that morning at the cooperative. 09:30 — Guided hike — three waterfalls, in the standard order (Simba → Ngasire → Sipi). Local guide + community porter. 12:30 — Lunch at a viewpoint over the Karamoja plain. 14:00 — Arabica coffee experience. Pick, pulp, dry, roast, brew. You leave with a 200 g bag. 16:00 — Return drive. 19:30 — Drop-off.

• Trail can be slippery after rain — proper hiking shoes essential, not trainers.
• Vertigo: the trail edges some serious drops; we have a non-vertigo alternative route, just tell us.
• Altitude: trailhead 1,800 m; you won’t notice.

FAQ

Why three waterfalls — can I just do one? You can. The shortest version (Sipi only) is 3 km return; we’ll price it at $95 if that’s better.

Is the coffee any good? Sipi sits on Mount Elgon, growing some of East Africa’s best Arabica at 1,700–2,200 m. The cup at the cooperative will be among the best you’ve had in Uganda.

Can I see the falls without hiking? Yes — there are viewpoints accessible from the road. We’ll bring you to two if the group prefers, no hike. Same price.
