A rafting day plugs neatly into a 7–10 day Uganda itinerary — typically as Day 2 (after Entebbe arrival and a Jinja overnight), before the safari leg. See our Uganda 10-Day Classic Safari → for how we structure it.

Is the Nile safe to raft after the dams? Yes. The classic rapids relocated downstream after Bujagali (2012) and Isimba (2019). Today’s run is shorter than the legendary pre-dam route but still serves up Grade IV–V with the same character. Operators on this stretch are IRF-certified.
What happens if the raft flips? The guides train for it. You’ll be briefed on swim positions. Safety kayakers will pick you up within seconds, and the next pool is always within sight.
Do you offer a tamer version? Yes — the family float (Grade II), suitable for kids 8+ and nervous adults. Same price, different river section.
